Severe Weather
In the event of very bad weather the safety of the children must be the first consideration. The decision as to whether or not your child comes to school or not remains with you as their parent. Where there has been a heavy fall of snow overnight or storm conditions parents should check if the school is open. Normally a decision to close the school will be made by 7.45am to ensure parents and staff are fully informed in plenty of time to make alternative arrangements. Please keep this information handy so you have the information close by if necessary. You can find out if the school is closed by: Ø Tuning in to Moray Firth Radio
Ø Using the school messaging service - TEL: 0870 054 6999 Enter the school’s own pin number when prompted - 04 1940
Ø Accessing Highland Council’s website http://www.winter.highlandschools.org.uk
It is vital that parents advise the school of any changes in emergency contact details for their child/children.
