sensibly, remembering to observe and respect the 'no parking' areas.
The issue of
crossing the road safely is addressed in all classes on a frequent
basis, however at a recent Pupil Council meeting the children brought
up how difficult it was for them to use the Green Cross Code safely
while crossing Culloden Court. This was because the cars parked opposite
the Drop Off Zone prevented them having a clear view of oncoming traffic
and they had to step out on to the road to see past them – this also
means that any oncoming traffic will not see the children until they
step out between the cars!
If you bring your
child to school by car, please consider the safety of all our pupils –
do not park on Culloden Court road use the Drop Off Zone. Should the
Drop Off Zone be full, please note consent has been given by the Council
Ward Manager for cars to park on the grass between the buildings.
Please note that the school
car park is only for staff and service vehicles.
Visitors/parents should use the Drop Off Zone or park outwith the school
gate if they are collecting / dropping off children after the bell has
gone. Entrance should be through the pedestrian gate and path.
