We strongly believe that the best way to ensure success for the
children is to work in close partnership with their parents.
To help us provide as best possible for all pupils we ask
parents for essential information about their child/children at
enrolment and again in August at the start of the school year.
Should any information change during the school year then please
let the school know so that we can keep our records up to date.
By clocking on
Standards and Quality Report you
will find the summary report for parents about the work going on
in the school and progress we are making.
The Parent Council of Duncan Forbes works in
partnership with the staff for the benefit of all our pupils.

Constitution of the Parent Council.
New
members to the council are always welcomed and, indeed, needed.
If you would like information on how you can make a contribution
please contact the school office, thank-you.
If
you have an interest in either group then please get in touch
with the school or if you are able to help out in the school
either on a regular basis or occasionally, e.g. on school trips.
Please give your name to Mrs Gibb in the school office and we will
add it to our list of parent helpers. Please note that parents
who help out on a regular basis have to be cleared through
Disclosure Scotland. The school will be happy to give you the
relevant forms and pay for this to be done.
We are happy to organise meetings or workshops for parents on
any aspect of school life. Just let us know what you would like
to know more about and we will do our best to accommodate your
request. Our monthly newsletter has a parent response sheet
which you can use to let us know your views and suggest
improvements.
A huge thank you to
everyone who supported this year's gala week which was held at
the end of June. An update on the gala's success will be
available following the next Parent Council meeting (date to be
confirmed).
