Children who attend the
Breakfast Club can have
breakfast
(cereal, toast, fruit or yoghurt) in a safe, settled and supervised
environment and enjoy quiet activities (crafts, books, story tapes
etc.) before the school day begins. Pupils will be expected to help
out, for example, by tidying away their breakfast dishes and games.
Council and school policies and procedures ensuring the safety and
well being of pupils at school will also cover the Breakfast Club.
If you wish to
register your child/children for a place, please contact the school
office for a booking form and return it to the school office as soon
as possible; your child/children's details will then be put on our
waiting list as the breakfast club is currently full.
We are limited
to 40 pupils due to Health and Safety staff/pupil ratios. Places
will be allocated on a first come first served basis and a waiting
list drawn up if required.
The cost is
£1.40 per day - as we are a self funding service there is no
reduction for families. This, just, enables us to cover our running
costs, consequently, there will be no refund for absences or late
arrivals. Parents should pay weekly on a Monday morning.
Pupils are
asked to arrive between 8.00am and 8.15am.
For safety reasons pupils should not use the school car park – they
should enter the school by the usual pupil access gates. Entry to
the Breakfast Club will be by the dining hall fire door.
A register
will be kept and we ask you to advise the school if your child is to
be absent. That way we will know your child is safe with you. Please
use the school answering machine. One message will cover the
Breakfast Club and school. Tel 791897.
When the
Breakfast Club finishes at 9.00am, all pupils will line up in
the playground and proceed to class.
Should the weather be unsuitable
alternative arrangements will be made within the school.
Should
circumstances change and you no longer require a Breakfast Club
place please advise us in writing two weeks in advance so we have
time to offer the place to another family on the waiting list.
